The first graders are responsible for identifying and reading these words by the end of the year. The children will be assessed at the end of each unit. We encourage you to make reinforcing them fun with practice and support etc.  A few ideas include: memory games, flashcards, sticky notes, watercolors, sand, pudding in a bag, shaving cream, or even, Alpha Bit cereal are creative ways to work on learning or reviewing HF words! HAVE FUN!  If you practice for 5 minutes each evening, it will be a huge benefit! :)

General Information:
Arrival: Children will walk with the "safety" through the front doors to the auditorium and proceed to the line marked with their teacher's name!\

SNACK:
* Please pack a separate snack daily, and water bottle for your child. (snack- pretzels, granola bar, carrots, etc.- something easy they can do/open independently :)

LUNCH HELP INFORMATION
​ALL Volunteers must be Virtus Trained
  1. Volunteers must sign in first and be wearing that yellow badge and picture badge before they arrive to you. If they don’t – send them to the office. They bring their ID to sign in.
  2. Unless weather is bad or you have lunch first, recess parents will meet you on your field)
  3. We love to have lunch/recess monitors. Please join us if you can!
Dismissal:
Parents, please meet your children out front. We will dismiss through the front doors! Dismissal begins about 3:10 pm! Thank you!
